The International Brotherhood of Magicians is the world’s largest organization for the study and practice of magic. IBM members include amateur and professional magicians, practicing both closeup and stage magic. Some 15,000 members participate in over 300 local “rings,” in 30 countries. The organization was founded in Feb. 10, 1922 in Winnipeg, Manitoba by Len Vintus.
Ring 19 is the Twin Cities chapter of this international fellowship. Founded in 1941, Ring 19 is named for Carl W. Jones, a Minneapolis newspaper publisher best known as the publisher of the classic magic book Greater Magic in 1938.
